St James’s Hotel and Club ( is a luxury 5* 60 room central London townhouse hotel, managed by specialist luxury hotel operator, the Althoff Collection. The hotel re-opened in autumn 2008 following an extensive two year renovation and redesign programme.

Located in a quiet cul-de-sac in St James’s, close to Piccadilly and near the prestigious Mayfair area, the hotel really is a hidden gem whilst being ideally situated within central London. St James’s provides the perfect base for shopping, sightseeing, culture (theatre, arts) as well as business meetings or events.

With fabulous Penthouse suites and some of the best guest room terraces in London, the hotel boasts stylish, sleek, contemporary yet elegant interiors finished with handmade silk wallpaper, black lacquered furniture, handcrafted Murano glass chandeliers and polished natural stone in the bathroom.   Exclusively designed by Anne Maria Jagdfeld design (Berlin), the hotel has achieved a fine harmony between contemporary interiors and the elegance of the Victorian building.

The hotel launched its fine dining restaurant Seven Park Place in October 09, headed up by Michelin-starred Executive Chef, William Drabble. William oversees all aspects of the new dining concept at the hotel, including private dining, room service and the hotel’s more informal yet stylish dining space, William’s Bar & Bistro. The dishes at Seven Park Place are modern-French in style but made up of primarily British ingredients.

A carefully appointed and original art collection features throughout the hotel - an outstanding collection of 20th-century paintings. The Rosenstein Collection, dating from the 1920s-1950s, includes fine examples of Impressionist, Expressionist and Cubist work from all over Europe, which guests can enjoy in the hotel’s public rooms as well as in the privacy of their own suites.

St James’s is ideally located for leisure breaks in the capital as well as for business meetings and events, hidden away on a tranquil road away from the crowds whilst benefiting by being in the heart of London’s bustling West End. Guests can take relaxing strolls through St James’s, Green or Hyde Parks, all within walking distance from the hotel; catch a show in the many theatres of London’s West End; or indulge in some retail therapy in the exclusive shops of Jermyn Street, the Burlington Arcade, Regent Street and Bond Street. The hotel also caters to every business need – from intimate client lunch meetings to conferences or events for up to 120 guests.
