Ever dreamed of becoming a Cheese and Wine Connoisseur? Well…here is your chance courtesy of the St. James’s Hotel and Club and cheese experts Paxton and Whitfield both situated in the elegant St. James’s district of London. The informative and fun cheese and wine Master Classes are to be held in the luxurious surroundings of the St. James’s Hotel and Club. Paxton & Whitfield, suppliers to the hotel, have been established in St James's for over 200 years and in their present premises in Jermyn Street for over 100 years. The Master Classes are designed to introduce cheese and wine enthusiasts to the pairing of some of the best British cheeses, wonderful wines and local, seasonal food prepared by Executive Chef William Drabble.

The Master Class is priced at £86.00 per person and includes a welcome glass of Champagne, a Wine Degustation, a three course lunch including matching wines and a selection of four British cheeses for dessert as well as a goodie bag with a Paxton and Whitfield cheese sample to take home. Classes are held on Saturdays, from 11.30 am to 2.30 pm approximately with lunch at around 1pm, please see dates below. (Classes are for a minimum of 6 persons and a maximum of 12.)

William Drabble has incorporated cheeses into his delicious three course menu with the dessert showcasing a selection of four British Cheeses paired with four different matching wines (see Editor’s Note). Learn how to expertly pair cheese and wine in order to impress fellow diners and ensure you are never again apprehensive when choosing from a wine list or selecting from the cheese trolley! It is fun, interactive and informative… as well as designed for anyone who loves cheese.
